DPWH Implements 24/7 Construction for Road Improvement Project Along U.N. Ave.

The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) will resume the road rehabilitation and improvement project at United Nations (U.N.) Avenue, Ermita, Manila on a round-the-clock basis to ensure faster completion.

DPWH National Capital Region Director Melvin B. Navarro said a 24/7 work scheme for the 840 lineal meter section of U.N. Avenue, stretching from Taft to Estero de Paco Bridge, will start on Monday, October 10, 2016, at 7:00 p.m.

The road rehabilitation project, which aims to improve traffic flow, also includes a drainage component to ensure safety of road users.

The portion from Taft Avenue to San Marcelino Street in U.N. Avenue will be the first segment to be closed, followed by the San Marcelino Street to Romualdez Street, then finally from Romualdez Street to Estero de Paco Bridge.
