The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) warns the public particularly government contractors against unscrupulous individuals using the agency and its officials headed by Secretary Rogelio L. Singson, Undersecretaries, Assistant Secretaries, Regional Directors and other key officials in fundraising and other fraudulent activities.
The public is warned that there is an on-going selling of raffle tickets or solicitations for Senior Citizens allegedly being sponsored by DPWH officials, particularly Secretary Singson.
“There is no such thing,” said Secretary Singson. “We have not authorized any fundraising nor oblige private companies, construction firms or DPWH offices for donations or to buy raffle tickets for any such fundraising activity”, said Singson.
“If there is an impostor making calls impersonating myself nor any DPWH official, then, please call the police immediately,” added Singson.
Secretary Singson prohibits solicitation by way of selling raffle tickets or sponsorship to any fundraising event in the DPWH including its regional and district engineering offices nationwide.
