Newly Concreted FMR Enhances Accessibility to Far-Flung Area in Antipolo City, Rizal

The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) has completed a 600-lineal-meter Farm-to-Market Road at Sitio San Ysiro, Barangay San Jose, Antipolo City, Rizal.

DPWH Secretary Manuel M. Bonoan, citing a report from DPWH Region IV-A Director Jovel G. Mendoza, said that the FMR project completed in the amount of P11.9 million will facilitate improved access to goods and services in the area.

Prior to the concrete paving of road, residents of Sitio San Ysiro would endure traversing a dilapidated road which also turns muddy during rainy season.

The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) inaugurated a 561-meter four (4)-lane flyover in the Province of Bulacan on October 10, 2024, as part of the Arterial Road Bypass Project (ARBP), aimed at easing traffic congestion and enhancing road safety.

The completed structure dubbed Flyover No. 1, which bypasses an intersection in Guiguinto near the North Luzon Expressway (NLEX) Balagtas Exit, is part of the newly widened 12.5-kilometer road section under contract packages (CP) 1 and 2 of the Arterial Road Bypass Project (ARBP) Phase 3.

The construction of an access road leading to Tubong Beach and Dacap Sur Pilgrimage Site in Bani, Pangasinan was completed by the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) in convergence with the Department of Tourism (DOT).

In her update to Secretary Manuel M. Bonoan, DPWH Pangasinan 1st District Engineer Marieta B. Mendoza said that the paved road with a total length of 563 meters now benefits the local community and tourism industry of Bani.
