The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) announced the start of construction for the new main academic building of the Polytechnic University of the Philippines (PUP) Main Campus in Sta. Mesa, Manila that will help address shortage of classroom and learning facilities.

In a report to Secretary Manuel M. Bonoan, DPWH National Capital Region Director Nomer Abel P. Canlas said that the soon-to-rise modern 9-storey main school building will replace the old structure with six floors that will accommodate PUP’s growing student population.

Residents of Barangay Lumbocan in Butuan City will now experience easier mobility of goods and services with the completion of concrete road project by the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH).

DPWH Regional Office 13 Director Pol M. Delos Santos said that the 322.5-meter road concreting project was constructed with a ₱5-million allocation.

Through the convergence program of the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) and the Department of Agriculture (DA) has benefitted farmers and locals of Barangay Tabla, Liloan, Cebu.

According to Regional Office 7 Director Ernesto S. Gregorio Jr., citing a report from DPWH District Engineer Florida P. Nuñez, the completed farm-to-market road (FMR) project now facilitates ease of transport of agricultural products to the market center, resulting to the increased income of farmers.

The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) is presently working on the development of design plan for the first major project proposal under President Ferdinand Romualdez Marcos Jr. administration to curb flooding in Pampanga and Bulacan.
