17 Roads Still Closed, 10 Have Limited Access

The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) is still working on reopening a total of 17 road sections in the Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR), Regions 1, 3, and 6 that were rendered impassable due to combined effects of southwest monsoon and typhoon Egay.

Based on the 12:00 noon, July 31, 2023 situational report of the DPWH Bureau of Maintenance, although 43 roads have been cleared and reopened, incessant rainfall has led to more flooding especially in parts of Central Luzon.

The following road sections remain impassable:

The DPWH Bureau of Maintenance reported that through DPWH Quick Response Teams, a total of 14 roads in the Cordillera Administrative Region, six (6) in Region I, two (2) in Region II, and one (1) each in Regions III, IV-B, and VI have been reopened.
