P63-M Flood Control Protects Communities Along Nueva Ecija’s Peñaranda River

The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) has constructed a new flood control structure along the Peñaranda River to safeguard nearby residential and agricultural communities in San Leonardo, Nueva Ecija.

Citing a report from DPWH Regional Office 3 Director Roseller A. Tolentino, DPWH Secretary Manuel M. Bonoan said that a newly-built 378-lineal-meter river wall now ensures the safety of residents in Barangay San Roque.

New Farm-To-Market Road Completed in Enrile, Cagayan

The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) has completed a new farm-to-market road (FMR) in the town of Enrile, Cagayan, providing local farmers ease of transport and access to major trading centers in the Cagayan Valley Region.

Secretary Manuel M. Bonoan said that the new 1.46-kilometer concrete road with three-barrel box culvert as drainage in Barangay Liwan Sur is expected to provide faster and safer route for farmers to transport their produce and farm goods to market centers and nearby municipalities of Solana and Tuguegarao City.

The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) recently completed the construction of a flood mitigation structure that now protects communities and farmlands along the Paysawan River in Barangay Paysawan, Bagac, Bataan.

DPWH Secretary Manuel M. Bonoan, citing a report from DPWH Regional Office 3 Director Roseller A. Tolentino, said that the DPWH Bataan Second District Engineering Office (DEO) built along the Bagac side of the Paysawan River a slope protection structure in the amount of P49 million funded under the 2022 General Appropriations Act (GAA).
