The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) has completed two (2) farm-to-market road (FMR) projects that now boost economic opportunities and local agricultural productivity in the province of Ilocos Sur.

Constructed in Barangay Suso, Sta. Maria, the new concrete road now offers farmers and small and medium enterprises (SMEs) involved in the production and distribution of agricultural goods a more convenient and cost-effective way to transport their products or services.

The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) has drastically improved travelling in the Municipality of Maria Aurora in Aurora Province by upgrading a road in the area.

DPWH Secretary Manuel M. Bonoan, citing reports from DPWH Regional Office 3 Director Roseller A. Tolentino and DPWH Aurora District Engineer Roderick A. Andal, identified the improved road as the A. Castañeda – Ma. Aurora – San Luis Road.

The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) has facilitated more convenient travel along a section of the Daang Maharlika through a completed parallel bridge project in Bayugan City, Agusan del Sur.

According to DPWH Regional Office 13 Director Pol M. Delos Santos, the 189-lineal-meter Andanan Parallel Bridge along Daang Maharlika proved effective in improving traffic movement as it doubles the allowed vehicular volume passing the existing bridge in Barangay Andanan, Bayugan City.

A 2-storey evacuation center was recently completed and turned-over by the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) to the local government of Barangay Bambang in Pasig City.
