PH Secures $905.26M Loan from Korea for Laguna Lakeshore Road Network Project - Phase I, Stage 1

The Philippine government has secured an official development assistance (ODA) loan from the Republic of Korea through Export-Import Bank of Korea (KEXIM) for Laguna Lakeshore Road Network (LLRN), Project Phase 1 Stage 1

The loan, valued at $905.26 million, will support civil works implementation by the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) of this flagship project under the Build Better More program of President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. which aim to enhance the country’s infrastructure, improve connectivity, and support economic growth.

Flood Protection Project Completed Along Ballili River in La Trinidad, Benguet

The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) has successfully completed a flood mitigation structure aimed at reducing the adverse effects of high water levels along Ballili River in Tabangaoen, Municipality of La Trinidad, Benguet.

The project involves constructing a 712-meter revetment wall, a 266-meter stone masonry structure, and a 54-meter rubble concrete gravity wall to protect nearby communities and establishments from flood damage.

New Floodwall Safeguards Community Along Gandara Riverbank in Samar

The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) has completed the construction of a flood control structure along the downstream section of the Gandara River in Barangay Minda, Gandara, Samar Province to prevent flooding and mitigate its damaging effects to communities.

In his report to DPWH Secretary Manuel M. Bonoan, DPWH Region 8 Director Edgar B. Tabacon identified the project as the newly built 200-meter flood wall that stands at three (3) meters and the provision of a pathway equipped with guardrails to ensure the safety of pedestrians.

New Farm-to-Market Road Improves Agri-Trade in Angat, Bulacan

The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) has completed a farm-to-market road aimed at ensuring road accessibility for local residents, reducing transportation costs for agricultural goods in Barangay Sta. Lucia, Angat, Bulacan.

The completed section of the project spans 2.09 kilometers of concrete pavement and includes 92 meters of stone masonry, ensuring both durability and improved transportation efficiency.
