DPWH Region 2 Bares 2021 Infra Accomplishments Amid Second Year of Pandemic

A total of 993 projects completed by the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) in 2021 are now benefitting the people of Cagayan Valley Region amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

Citing a report from DPWH Regional Office 2 Director Loreta M. Malaluan, DPWH Secretary Roger G. Mercado said that the newly-completed roads, bridges, and other infrastructure projects are now safely linking more farmers to market centers, workers to jobs, and the sick to healthcare facilities, protecting vulnerable communities, fostering trade and investment as well as socioeconomic development.

Construction of Panguil Bay Bridge Project Going at Full Steam

Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) Undersecretary for Unified Project Management Office (UPMO) Operations Emil K. Sadain reported that construction of Panguil Bay Bridge connecting Tubod, Lanao del Norte and Tangub City, Misamis Occidental is on-going at full steam.

An inspection report to Secretary Roger G. Mercado by Undersecretary Sadain revealed that the design and build for the 3.169 kilometers bridge project is progressing at a brisk pace, having attained a weighted average of 41.83 percent to date.
