Two (2) flagship road projects of the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) in Zamboanga Peninsula are nearly finished, facilitating economic growth for residents and acting as a ‘bridge for peace’.

DPWH Acting Secretary Roger G. Mercado together with Undersecretaries Emil K. Sadain and Eugenio R. Pipo Jr. inspected on June 1-2, 2022 the 23.73 kilometers Alicia-Malangas Road in Zamboanga Sibugay and 15.35 kilometers Tampilisan-Sandayong Road in Zamboanga del Norte.

After years of planning and preparation, the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) has officially launched the construction of two (2) bridges aim to provide a direct route between the existing major growth center of Bongao, Tawi-Tawi Province with Sanga-Sanga Island and future growth center in Panglima Sugala.

The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) announces the resumption of roadworks along EDSA, C-5, and other road portions in Quezon City starting at 11PM Friday, June 3, 2022.

The road rehabilitation activities will cover southbound directions of EDSA Santolan innermost lane/bus way, from V.V. Soliven Driveway going to Rochester Street in San Juan City; and of EDSA Service Road, 2nd block of Timog Avenue intersection, 2nd block of Kamuning Road intersection, and 2nd block corner Kamuning Road in Quezon City.

Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) Acting Secretary Roger G. Mercado led on Thursday, June 2, 2022 the ceremonial groundbreaking for the construction of a three (3) storey office building of Regional Project Management Office for the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region for Muslim Mindanao (RPMO-BARMM) inside the DPWH Zamboanga City District Engineering Office compound at Divisoria, Zamboanga City.

When completed, the office building will serve as a bridge that will better connect the national government and BARMM, said Secretary Mercado.
