Construction of New Bridge in Pampanga Now 88% Complete

Construction work on the Pampanga Delta Bridge Project of the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) in Masantol, Pampanga is now making a steady pace of progress.

DPWH Senior Undersecretary Emil K. Sadain, in his report to Secretary Manuel M. Bonoan, said that the bridge is 88% complete despite disruptions on the advancement of work brought about by the impact of COVID-19 pandemic.

Upgraded Iloilo-Capiz Road Now Safer and Convenient for Motorists

The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) has completed road improvement works along Iloilo-Capiz Road (New Route) in Leganes, Iloilo to facilitate smoother and safer travel between provinces in Western Visayas.

Costing P72 million, the project involved asphalt overlaying of a 4-lane, 3-kilometer concrete road section with provision of reflectorized thermoplastic pavement markings.

New Concrete Bridge Connects Zamboanga City to Other Areas

Residents and tourists travelling to the Zamboanga City proper are now benefitting from the new Bangayan Bridge constructed by the Department of Public Works (DPWH).

According to DPWH Region 9 Director Cayamombao D. Dia, the construction of the Bangayan parallel bridge along Zamboanga City-Labuan-Limpapa Road is crucial as it is one of the bridges linking the city to Zamboanga del Norte.

Implemented by DPWH Zamboanga City District Engineering Office, the two (2) way Bangayan Bridge spanning 30 lineal meters now has a widened approach of 4-linear meters.

DPWH, NEDA Attend Meeting of Congress Committee on Flagship Programs and Projects

Key individuals from the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) and National Economic and Development Authority (NEDA) attended the special briefing requested by the Committee on Flagship Programs and Projects of the House of Representatives.

Upon instruction of DPWH Secretary Manuel M. Bonoan, Senior Undersecretary Emil K. Sadain on Wednesday, September 7, 2022 provided a briefing to the committee members on the status of the country’s flagship programs and projects.

Flood Control Project Completed in Zamboanga Sibugay

Residents of the low-lying Barangay of Pilar, Diplahan, Zamboanga Sibugay are now less susceptible to flooding with the newly-constructed flood mitigation structure of the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH).

In his report to DPWH Secretary Manuel M. Bonoan, Region 9 Director Cayamombao D. Dia said that the new revetment structure along Imelda-Bayog-Kumalarang-Lapuyan-Margosatubig Road will benefit approximately 1,195 residents of Barangay Pilar especially during onslaught of flood waters caused by rapid and excessive rainfall.

New 6-Storey PAGASA Building to Rise Soon

The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) and the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) are working together to provide a safe and modern office space for PAG-ASA inside the Science Garden Complex, Diliman, Quezon City.

Citing a report from DPWH Unified Project Management Office - Buildings Management Cluster, DPWH Secretary Manuel M. Bonoan said that the ongoing six-storey building project with a gross floor area of 8,608 square meters is now 38 percent accomplished.
