DPWH ‘Bigay Trabaho’ Fills Over 1k Jobs; In 1 Month

Secretary Mark Villar’s Bigay Trabaho Program has provided a thousand jobs in a period of one (1) month to help improve Filipino’s life in this pandemic time.

Secretary Villar announced that the Department of Public Works and Highways’ online job fair which was able to hire as much as 1,090 workers nationwide from its launch in August 9, 2021 up to this date will still be up and running through its different platforms via Landline no. In a recent virtual inauguration, the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) turned over the newly-completed Main Building of the Cagayan de Oro (CDO) Convention Center to the Tourism Infrastructure and Enterprise Zone Authority.

DPWH Completes P25-Million Road Concreting Projects in Zamboanga del Norte

The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) has paved 1.5-kilometer of roads in the Municipality of Labason, Zamboanga del Norte.

Based on a report submitted by DPWH Region 9 Director Cayamombao D. Dia, DPWH Secretary Mark A. Villar stated that the two (2) projects were accomplished along Lopoc-Dansalan Road and Barangay Ubay, in Labason, Zamboanga del Norte with an allocated budget of P15-million and P10-million, respectively.

Public Works and Highways Secretary Mark A. Villar commended DPWH Pangasinan 2nd District Engineer Edita L. Manuel for the swift construction of a 1.3-lane kilometer access road project that now provides more convenient access to the famous tourism destination.

Villar: BBB generated 1.48-M jobs during pandemic

Despite restrictions brought by the COVID-19 pandemic, the Department of Public Works and Highways’ Build, Build, Build Program was able to provide a total of 1,482,119 jobs to Filipinos nationwide for the period of March 2020 to August 2021.

“As announced before, BBB will be one (1) of our key drivers towards economic recovery. We are glad that indeed infrastructure projects across the country were able to provide the much-needed livelihood opportunities, more so during this pandemic period,” said DPWH Secretary Mark A. Villar.
