DPWH Opens New Bridge in Aurora

The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) recently constructed a new bridge in the town of Maria Aurora which is expected to improve connectivity in Aurora Province.

In his report to DPWH Secretary Manuel M. Bonoan and Undersecretary Roberto S. Bernardo, DPWH Regional Office 3 Director Roseller A. Tolentino said that the 50.8-lineal meter, two-lane bridge in Barangay Bayanihan built by the DPWH Aurora District Engineering Office (DEO) in the amount of P57.9 million has been formally opened for public use.

DPWH Reactivates Lakbay Alalay Program for Undas 2022

All Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) Regional and District Engineering Offices will once again deploy teams that will aid motorists in the forthcoming long weekend for the nationwide observance of All Saints’ Day.

According to DPWH Secretary Manuel M. Bonoan, the Department’s motorist assistance program dubbed “Lakbay Alalay” has been reactivated and will be operational along strategic locations nationwide starting at 7:00 am on Friday, October 28, 2022 until 12:00 noon of Wednesday, November 2, 2022.

DPWH Chief Underscores Importance of Safety Features in Infra Projects

Public Works and Highways Secretary Manuel M. Bonoan recently reiterated the inclusion of necessary safety features in all DPWH infrastructure projects nationwide.

In a memorandum, Secretary Bonoan echoed Department Order No. 164, series of 2016 which mandates DPWH Regional, District Engineering Offices, and Unified Project Management Office Clusters to include all safety design features or elements in all projects.

DPWH Undertakes Road Paving, Widening for Better Mobility in Capiz

Motorists will soon experience improved accessibility and mobility with road upgrades implemented by the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) in the province of Capiz.

The concreting of the 6.7-kilometer Dayao-Libas-Culasi road, which traverses Barangay IV, Barangay Libas, and Barangay Culasi is currently underway in Roxas City.

The road project will enhance delivery of products and services, reduce transport cost, and boost the province’s tourism industry as it serves as an alternate route for travelers coming from the second district of Capiz to Culasi Seaport.

The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) is working on two (2) flood control projects to protect residents in the Municipality of Capas, Tarlac from threat of inundation.

In his report to DPWH Secretary Manuel M. Bonoan and Undersecretary Roberto R. Bernardo, DPWH Regional Office 3 Director Roseller A. Tolentino identified the two (2) flood control projects as the dike constructed along the Bangut River and the ongoing river wall rehabilitation along O’Donnell River.
