DPWH Improves Road Infrastructure for Farmers of San Ildefonso, Bulacan

The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) has recently constructed a concrete road in support of farming communities in the town of San Ildefonso, Bulacan.

DPWH Secretary Manuel M. Bonoan said that the DPWH Bulacan Second District Engineering Office (DEO) improved and paved into concrete an 830-meter road traversing vast rice fields near the Barangays of Pasong Bangkal and Casalat.

The improvement of the road is seen to benefit local farmers by providing an easier and cost-effective way of transporting their products from farms to market centers in the province.

New River Wall in Ilocos Norte Now 95% Complete

The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) is fast-tracking the completion of a concrete flood wall in the Municipality of Vintar, Ilocos Norte.

According to DPWH Region 1 Director Ronnel M. Tan the 258-meter flood control structure along Bislak River in Barangay San Ramon is scheduled to be completed this October.

Funded in the amount of P48.36-million sourced from 2022 General Appropriations Act (GAA), the project entails driving sheet piles, laying rock embankment, and pouring concrete slope protection.

The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) is currently constructing a new two (2) storey Department of Justice (DOJ) Building in the Municipality of Ballesteros, Cagayan.

In his report to DPWH Secretary Manuel M. Bonoan, DPWH Region 2 Director Nomer Abel P. Canlas said that the facility will serve as the Satellite Office of the Cagayan Provincial Prosecution Office.

Motorists traversing the La Paz-Javier-Bito Road in La Paz, Leyte are now benefitting from the newly-asphalted road section implemented by the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) as part of the agency’s asset preservation program.

According to DPWH Region 8 Director Edgar B. Tabacon, the road improvement project covering a total length of 785 meters involves reblocking of intermittent road sections, asphalt overlay, and the installation of thermoplastic pavement markings to improve travel safety and reduce traffic accidents.
