DPWH Opens 6.2-km Bypass Road in Nueva Vizcaya

The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) has finally opened ₱ 470.11-Million Solano-Bayombong Bypass Road in Nueva Vizcaya province.

In his report to Secretary Manuel M. Bonoan, Regional Director Reynaldo C. Alconcel said that the 6.202-kilometer Solano-Bayombong Bypass road has four (4) lanes with a 13.4-meter carriageway width and 300-milimeter thickness concrete. The new alternate highway is now regarded as the longest bypass road in Cagayan Valley Region.

DPWH Sets Standard Design for Solar-Powered Lights along National Roads

The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) has issued its latest guidelines on the standard designs for solar-powered roadway lighting along national roads.

DPWH Secretary Manuel M. Bonoan, through Department Order No. 19, series of 2023, issued the standard design drawings, following the approval on the use of solar-powered street lights on public works projects.

The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) has completed the rehabilitation and improvement of the Cebu North Hagnaya Wharf Road (Old Route) passing through Danao City, Cebu to improve the movement of people, goods, and services.

In his report to DPWH Secretary Manuel M. Bonoan, Regional Office 7 Director Ernesto S. Gregorio Jr. said that the rehabilitated road serves as an alternate route to avoid slow traffic flow and improves the safety of the residents, properties, and the commuting public in Northern and Southern parts of Cebu.

The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) has completed its P49-million road concreting project that now benefits Barangays Cabasagan and Bangkal in Matanao, Davao del Sur.

In his report to DPWH Secretary Manuel M. Bonoan, DPWH Davao del Sur District Engineer Nicomedes D. Parilla, Jr. said that the newly-paved road stretching 2.78 kilometers provides smoother and faster access between Barangays Cabasagan and Bangkal. The road has connected since September 2022 the neighboring communities to nearby schools, farms and markets.

The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) has completed a flood mitigation structure along Cansaga River in Barangay Danglag, Consolacion, Cebu to protect residents and their properties against major flooding during heavy rains.

In his report to DPWH Secretary Manuel M. Bonoan, Regional Office 7 Director Ernesto S. Gregorio Jr. said that the flood control structure is intended to prevent the possible shifting of river ways and loss of land mass along the area.
