The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) is constructing a building facility aimed to cater and promote the creation of new micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) in Marikina City.

DPWH Secretary Manuel M. Bonoan, citing a report from DPWH National Capital Region Director Loreta M. Malaluan, said that the DPWH Metro Manila 1st District Engineering Office (DEO) is implementing the National Cottage Industries Development Authority (NACIDA) Incubator Facility which is being constructed in Barangay Concepcion Dos.

Flood Control, FMR Projects Built in the Vital Areas of Marinduque

The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) has recently completed the construction of a flood mitigation structure and a farm-to-market road (FMR) that now fortifies community resilience and augments the local economy in the municipalities of Boac and Gasan, Marinduque.

In a report to Secretary Manuel M. Bonoan, DPWH Marinduque District Engineer Richard Emmanuel P. Ragragio identified the completed project as the 88-lineal meter flood control structure strategically built in Barangay Bachao Ibaba in the municipality of Gasan.

Road Widening, Bridge Projects Ensure Connectivity in Negros Occidental

The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) has undertaken improvement works along a major highway and a bridge in the city of Silay and the municipality of Pontevedra, Negros Occidental.

DPWH Region 6 Director Sanny Boy Oropel reported the completion of widening works along a 374-meter portion of the Silay-Lantawan Road in Silay City.

The widened road from two (2) to four (4) lanes now reduces traffic congestion and facilitates better mobility of motorists traversing the highway, particularly along Barangay Guimbala-on.

The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) has completed the implementation of a flood mitigation project that now protects agricultural lands and communities residing close to Maasin River in Barangay Upig, San Ildefonso, Bulacan.

In a report to DPWH Secretary Manuel M. Bonoan, DPWH Regional Office 3 Director Roseller A. Tolentino said that the DPWH Bulacan 3rd District Engineering Office (DEO) was able to complete its P96.50 million flood control project which covers the construction of 300-meter of revetment wall to stabilize and prevent the bank from erosion.
