Revetment Wall Safeguards Communities in Alimodian, Iloilo
The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) has built a flood control structure along Jaro-Aganan River in the municipality of Alimodian, Iloilo.
DPWH Region 6 Director Sanny Boy Oropel mentioned in his report that the 697-meter long, 6-meter high concrete vertical revetment wall on sheet pile foundation will provide protection to the flood-prone barangay Poblacion against raging waters during heavy rains or typhoons.
