The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) is constructing the second phase of a new road that will address traffic congestion in various areas of Pili, Camarines Sur.
DPWH Regional Office 5 Director Virgilio C. Eduarte, in a report to DPWH Secretary Manuel M. Bonoan said that the project dubbed Palestina-Yabu-Carolina Road is ongoing with P125 million allocation from the 2024 General Appropriations Act.
In an effort to enhance road safety, the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) completed the construction of a P93.06-million flood control structure, aimed at reducing risks brought by flooding along the O’Donnell River in Tarlac City, Tarlac.
The 260-linear meter project features a 6.7-meter-wide carriageway, a sidewalk of 2.9 meters, and bicycle lanes measuring 3.53 meters wide, promoting safer transportation options in Moriones-Balanti Section.
