EDSA Road Traffic Advisory

Motorists and commuters are advised by the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) to expect traffic slowdown in some portions of EDSA including the section approaching Cubao area due to road works this weekend.

Secretary Rogelio L. Singson said that road repair at EDSA will be undertaken beginning at 10 P.M today, February 7, 2014 under the supervision of the DPWH-National Capital Region.

Traffic build-up is expected at the EDSA northbound from Main Avenue to P. Tuazon with the C & F Construction and Development Corporation undertaking reblocking works at the 2nd lane involving an area of 301 square meters.

Reblocking works of about 1,066 square meters at the 1st lane southbound direction from Magsaysay Street to New York Street under AKH General Contractor is also expected to affect vehicular movement.

In Pasay City, about 390 square meters of the southbound direction of EDSA from Loring Street to Park Avenue will undergo reblocking under contract with AUKH Construction.

Other parts of EDSA scheduled for pavement improvement includes the northbound direction from United Street to Julia Vargas and southbound direction from Boni Avenue to Guadalupe Bridge in Mandaluyong City; northbound 4th and 5th lane from Mckinley Forces to Guadalupe Bridge and southbound 4th and 5th lane from Guadalupe Bridge to South Drive in Makati City; and northbound 5th lane from Don Ang Street & General Tinio Street in Caloocan City.

The affected roads are expected to re-open to vehicular traffic on February 11, 2014.
