PBBM Inaugurates Longest Sea-Crossing Bridge in Mindanao

The 3.17-kilometer Panguil Bay Bridge Project (PBBP) of the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) was officially opened Friday, September 27, 2024, promising to enhance connectivity and drive economic progress in Mindanao.

President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. with First Lady Maria Louise “Liza” Araneta-Marcos joined by Secretary Manuel M. Bonoan, Korean Ambassador to the Philippines Lee Sang-Hwa, and DPWH Senior Undersecretary Emil K. Sadain led the inauguration of the milestone project, now recognized as the longest sea-crossing bridge in Mindanao.

DPWH Extends Picturesque Seaside Road in Sto. Domingo, Albay

The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) has completed another component of Bicol’s scenic Buhatan-Alimsog Road, extending it along the coast of Barangay Alimsog, Sto. Domingo, Albay.

DPWH Regional 5 Director Virgilio C. Eduarte, in his report to DPWH Secretary Manuel M. Bonoan, said that additional 560 meters of 4-lane concrete road with 100-meter seawall under the coastal road project’s phase 2 was recently completed by the DPWH Albay 1st District Engineering Office.

New 2-storey NCMH Emergency Facility Underway

The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) is now implementing the Phase 2 of an ongoing building project that will serve as the emergency complex of the National Center for Mental Health (NCMH) in Mandaluyong City.

In a report to DPWH Secretary Manuel M. Bonoan, DPWH National Capital Region Director Loreta M. Malaluan said that the Phase 2 of the 2-storey building project includes finishing works and site development activities.

The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) has successfully completed a two-lane concrete paved access road, which now connects two (2) agricultural barangays in a fourth class municipality of Lanao del Norte.

Built in the Municipality of Baroy, the 900-meter portland concrete cement pavement road facilitates safer access to and from Barangay Cabasagan to Barangay Pendulunan.
