
Over 1,400 students from Pigcawayan, Cotabato will benefit from the newly completed and turned over 4-storey building project of the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH).
DPWH Region 12 Director Basir M. Ibrahim said the new building will fill the classroom requirement of Pigcawayan National High School which now has over 3,000 students in the Junior and Senior High School.
“This new 4-storey building can accommodate additional students from Grades 8, 9, and 10 as it has a total of 28 classrooms,” said Director Ibrahim.
The construction of the new school building was implemented in accordance with the DPWH standard design under the supervision of DPWH Cotabato Second District Engineering Office (C2DEO).
Director Ibrahim noted that the construction of an additional building in Pigcawayan National High School is just among the many projects of the Department in convergence with the Department of Education all over the country in support to the K to 12 program of the government.
