Residents of South Central Mindanao can soon process their professional license stress and hassle-free after the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) completes the construction of the Professional Regulatory Commission (PRC) office to rise at the Regional Center in Barangay Carpenter Hill, Koronadal City, South Cotabato.
With only three offices in full operation in Mindanao, professionals all over the island endure the travel to PRC offices in Pagadian City, Cagayan de Oro City, and Davao City to renew or apply for their license.
Citing a report DPWH South Cotabato District Engineering Office, DPWH Secretary Mark A. Villar said that completion of the three-story building on the first quarter of 2020 will make the services of PRC more accessible to the general public.
“Aside from the accessibility it offers, the new PRC building shall also provide a conducive office space that can cater to the increasing number of professionals in the region,” Secretary Villar added.
The P53 million building project, which will also be used in administering professional examinations and trainings for a maximum of 65 examinees, was funded under the 2019 DPWH Infrastructure Program.
