Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) OIC-Assistant Regional Director Esmeraldo S. Sarmiento turned-over the headship of Albay 3rd District Engineering Office (DEO) to Engr. Salome M. Sartillo by virtue of Special Order 93, series of 2019 issued by DPWH Secretary Mark A. Villar.
The simple turnover ceremony was held at the said DEO last August 6, 2019.
It will be recalled that OIC-ARD Sarmiento was designated as Caretaker of the office of the District Engineer (DE) thereat on concurrent capacity upon the compulsory retirement of DE Edna N. Meñez last February 20 this year.
“I wish to extend my profound gratitude to all of you here for your support and willingness for us to work as a team during my stint as DE. Please do the same to DE Sartillo,” ARD Sarmiento said.
In her message, OIC-DE Sartillo who was the OIC-Assistant District Engineer of Bukidnon 2nd DEO prior to her transfer to Albay, also emphasized cooperation or concerted efforts oftentimes lead to the achievement of goals and objectives.
DPWH 5 Regional Director Virgilio C. Eduarte who officiated the event laid down his challenge to OIC-DE Sartillo and to the employees of Albay 3rd DEO to further improve their overall standing in the implementation of infrastructure projects.
He likewise advised them to be dedicated in the discharge of their duties and responsibilities as mandated by the department.
