Preventive maintenance works on sections of three major highways in Metro Manila were scheduled this weekend by the Department of Public Works and Highways National Capital Region (DPWH-NCR).
DPWH-NCR with clearance from Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA), will undertake road re-blocking and rehabilitation works on four road sections in Quezon City, Makati and Mandaluyong City from 10PM on May 9, 2014 (Friday) until 5AM on May 12, 2014 (Monday).
The repairs in Quezon City are set at the center lane of Visayas Avenue, between Road 1 and Quezon Avenue and at the third (3rd) lane northbound direction of Epifanio delos Santos Avenue (EDSA), between Quezon Avenue and Landmark, under supervision of Quezon City First District Engineering Office.
Metro Manila Second District Engineering Office on the other hand will handle the rehabilitation works at Southbound and Northbound path of South Super Highway, Makati City, all under existing flyover from Magallanes to Arnaiz Avenue.
In Mandaluyong City, road re-blocking, with the supervision of Metro Manila First District Engineering office will be undertaken along EDSA, between Temple Drive and United Street.
