
The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) has completed the construction of a tourism road project leading to Edith Grand Garden Resort and Adventure Park in the municipality of Baclayon, Bohol.
District Engineer Francis Antonio L. Flores of DPWH Bohol First District Engineering Office (DEO) reported that the paving of a 3-kilometer, 2-lane Ramon Magsaysay-Tanday Barangay Road which is now providing a faster and safer access to Tagbilaran East Road going to the adventure park.
“The road improvement project from gravel to concrete of the local road was fast-tracked to support the municipality of Baclayon which has a huge potential for tourism,” said District Engineer Flores.
“Paved road is expected to further encourage the influx of local and international tourists, while facilitating the rural community’s access to health centers, education facilities, and other opportunities,” said Engineer Flores.
The road concreting project amounting to P69.56 million also includes provision of reflectorized thermoplastic pavement markings and single-arm post street lights as safety features.
