DPWH paves 8-km access road to Lauagan Falls in North Cebu

The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) is concreting a portion of Dakit-Ampongol-Cabungahan Road leading to Lauagan Falls in Barangay Dakit, Sogod, Cebu.

The P54.7 million project which involves concreting of 8 kilometers unpaved roads with provision of embankment and steel reinforcement is now 81 percent completed.

Ongoing road improvement project also includes provision of reflectorized thermoplastic pavement markings, GAD attributions, and hazard markers that will ensure safety of the traveling public.

“Once this project is fully completed, we anticipate growth in tourism that will spur the economic condition of the area”, said Cebu 5th District Engineer Yusoph D. Rasuman.

Civil works began in July 2019 and is target for completion this 1st quarter of the year.
