The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) is rushing its ongoing road widening project along Sipocot-Cabusao Road in the town of Cabusao, province of Camarines Sur.

Citing a report from District Engineer Edy Ferdinand R. Joven of DPWH Camarines Sur 1st District Engineering Office (DEO), DPWH Secretary Mark A. Villar said that a P58 million road widening project of the tertiary road in Barangay Pandan is now 89 percent completed.

“This is a 2-kilometer portion of Sipocot-Cabusao Road being widened from two (2) lanes to four (4) lanes to provide additional road space to our motorists traversing other areas of Cabusao,” said Secretary Villar.

“We aim to complete the road improvement project early this year, hopefully within the first quarter of the year if weather permits,” added Secretary Villar.

The widening of Sipocot-Cabusao Road which started civil works in July 2019, is funded by the 2019 General Appropriations Act (GAA).
