Access road to Albay’s Sumlang Lake improved

The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) has repaired the access road leading to declared tourism destinations in Camalig, Albay.

The road project completed involves paving of 468.17 meters of local road leading to the famous Sumlang Lake, as well as other tourist destinations namely: Quitinday Hills, Quituinan Japanese Tunnel, and Hoyop-hoyopan Cave Sites.

According to DPWH Albay 2nd District Engineer Danilo J. Villa, Jr., the project tagged Camalig Tourism Circuit Road has received an allocation of P19.3 million and began civil works in May 2019.

“This road improvement project now provides better access and convenience to locals and tourists who wish to explore the wonders of Camalig, Albay”, said District Engineer Villa.
