The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) is working on the improvement of the access road leading to Maribojoc Port in Bohol, with 44.6 percent accomplishment.

The P11.9 million project funded under 2019 General Appropriations Act (GAA) involves widening into four (4) lanes of 37-meter road with portland cement concrete pavement (PCCP).

“Since Maribojoc Port is being eyed to become a major port, the improved road will facilitate better access to spur economic activities in the coastal town”, said Bohol 1st District Engineer Francis Antonio L. Flores.

Civil works on the project began in November 2019 and is target for completion this 2nd quarter of the year.
