Section of access road to new international airport in Daraga, Albay, now completed

The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) has completed the construction of Iluluan-Manawan section of the ongoing GuiCaDaLe (Guinobatan-Camalig-Daraga-Legazpi) Road leading to the new Bicol International Airport in Daraga, Albay.

The P18.8 million project funded under 2019 General Appropriations Act (GAA) involves construction of 360-meter road with 530 linear meter reinforced concrete deck girder (RCDG) with lined canal in the town of Camalig.

DPWH Albay 2nd District Engineer Danilo J. Villa, Jr. reported that the paved road will now ensure a safe travel for motorists and provide ease of access in the area.

The Iluluan-Manawan Road is part of the GuiCaDaLe (Guinobatan-Camalig-Daraga-Legazpi) Road Network project which aims to build and improve roads for the benefit of locals and tourists in the province of Albay.
