The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) held a groundbreaking ceremony signifying the start of construction of five (5) farm-to-market roads (FMR) in the province of Misamis Oriental.
The concrete road projects are implemented under a convergence program with the Department of Agriculture (DA) amounting to a total of P40-milllion.
According to DPWH Misamis Oriental 1st District Engineer Marivel Ong, the five (5) FMR projects are located in Barangays Camuayan, Alipuaton, Damayuhan, Mahayahay, and Bonifacio Aquino, all in Misamis Oriental.
“Once completed, delivery of goods and other farm products will be easier, thus, improving the life of local farmers in the said barangays and other neighboring areas,” said District Engineer Ong.
