
Road Slips at Km 154; Km 156 and Km 157 at the Old Zigzag Road (Bitukang Manok) connecting the towns of Pagbilao and Atimonan, Quezon were recorded during typhoon “MARIO” on September 19, 2014 at around 5:30 in the morning.
The Quezon IV District Engineering Office under OIC-District Engineer Rody A. Angulo, immediately dispatched its Maintenance Crew headed by Maintenance Engineer Crisanto M. Tadiosa, Jr. to the site. Angulo, personally supervised the installation of necessary precautions like warning signs and barricades to be placed at the damaged portion of the road. While precautionary works were underway, the District Engineer decided to temporarily close to traffic this road section for the safety of the commuters. At around 11:45 AM the same day, the Old Zigzag Road were open to traffic.
