Groundbreaking ceremony for the Construction of Junction Batasan – San Mateo – Rodriguez Bypass Link Road Project of DPW-Rizal II District Engineering Office was held on June 4, 2014.
Present during the occasion were: DPWH Region IV-A Regional Director Huillio B. Belleza, District Engineer Edgardo P. Peralta, OIC-District Engineer Eric A. Ayapana, OIC-Assistant District Engineer Francisco F. Cruz and Engr. Manolito S. Fabian. It was also attended by Congressman Isidro S. Rodriguez, Jr. of Rizal 2nd District, Provincial Governor Rebecca A. Ynares of Rizal Province, Municipal Mayor Rafael E. Diaz and Vice Mayor Cristina C. Diaz of San Mateo, Rizal.
The construction of the bypass link road will relieve traffic congestion in high density areas like public market, schools, commercial centers and municipal town hall along the national road (San Mateo-Rodriguez Road). It will also provide easy access to neighboring towns like Quezon City, Marikina City and Antipolo City.
