
The Magallanes Police Station is the recent recipient of a newly-built headquarters by the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) in the Municipality of Magallanes, Agusan del Norte Province.
“This new Magallanes Police Station Building is a proof of the strong partnership and support of the DPWH to the Philippine National Police (PNP) mission: to serve and to protect, by providing them modernized and high-standard buildings which aim to increase the efficiency and productivity of our officers in performing their duties and at the same time achieve a safer and peaceful community in Agusan del Norte,” said DPWH Secretary Mark A. Villar.
Constructed in the amount of P12.02 million, the new Magallanes Police Station building now houses an intelligence, investigation and warrant sections all under one roof, as well as an administrative office, female and male detention cells, pantry, counseling area, conference hall, police quarters, comfort rooms and armory section.
In addition, the 3-storey building with a floor area of about 150 square meters also features ground floor ramps to cater to persons with disabilities (PWD), wide-glass windows and entrances, fire exits, secured lot behind the building for parking space and a roof deck which allows police officers to observe their immediate vicinity from above their quarters.
The completed building project is funded under the FY 2020 Regular Infrastructure and implemented by the DPWH Regional Office XIII.
