
An access road constructed by the Department of Public Works of Highways (DPWH) now facilitates more development opportunities for highlanders in La Paz, Agusan del Sur.
Traversing Barangay Mahayahay, the San Luis-Binicalan-Zamboangita Road Project involves the concreting of 950.10 meter road with drainage facilities.
Secretary Mark A. Villar said that besides providing easier access to basic services, the road is also expected to spur growth in agriculture.
Community folks lauded the completion of this project that has not only improved accessibility but also brought peace and order and governance since this part of the province was noted for long time tribal and insurgency conflict.
The project with a total cost of P19.1 million was implemented by DPWH Agusan del Sur 2nd District Engineering Office.
