As of 2:00 pm Friday, November 5, 2021, three (3) national road sections in Region 6 and one (1) in Region 7 are impassable to traffic due a Low Pressure Area (LPA) that has brought flooding and landslides to parts of Visayas.
Public Works and Highways Secretary Roger G. Mercado, citing a report from the DPWH Bureau of Maintenance said that the following road closures were reported in Capiz Province due to flooding: Sigma-Mambusao-Jamindan Road, K0099+100 - K0101+300 in Barangay Tumalalod and Barangay Caidquid, Mambusao Town; Tapaz-Jamindan-Altavas Road, K0088+850 - K0088+900 in Barangay San Nicolas in Tapaz; and Iloilo-Capiz Road (Old Route), K0092+950 - K0093+100 in Barangay Sto. Angel, in the municipality of Dumalag.
The LPA also rendered the Cebu-Toledo Wharf Road, K0019+400 - K0019+500 in Barangay Manipis, Talisay City, Cebu impassable due to landslide.
A DPWH Quick Response Team has been deployed to install warning signs while clearing operation along affected road section is ongoing.
In the meantime, motorists may take Naga-Uling Road going to Toledo City from Talisay City and vice versa.
