The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) has completed the road widening along Gov JJ Linao Road in Pilar, Bataan which will further improve travel to tourism destination especially the easing of restrictions.
DPWH Bataan Second District Engineering Office facilitated the timely completion of the 1.8 kilometer portion of national road aimed to enhance mobility along the area and provide better access to economic activities in Bataan.
A total amount of P42.7 million was allotted under the 2021 General Appropriations Act (GAA) for the 3.2-meter road widening project.
DPWH Bataan Second District Engineering Office also implemented improvement of the road shoulder, drainage canal, concrete slope protection as well as guardrails and solar street lights for the safety of motorists.
More DPWH projects are in the pipeline to improve not only the travel experience but more importantly to support economic development of Central Luzon.
