The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) has completed and inaugurated the Office of the President - Presidential Management Staff Sub-Central Office Southern Luzon Building located at the DPWH Regional Equipment Services Region V Compound, Legazpi City.
“The new three-storey PMS building shall pave way for the government to reach the Filipino people at the grassroots level,” said Regional Director Virgilio C. Eduarte.
“It shall ensure public service continuity and inter-agency partnerships in the delivery and implementation of various programs of the government, especially during emergencies and disasters,” added Director Eduarte.
The DPWH Albay 2nd District Engineering Office conceptualized the building project by incorporating the honeycomb design, reminiscent of the buri, or rattan baskets, which not only adds aesthetic to the building but ensures its structural durability.
The ceremonial inauguration was attended by Acting Presidential Management Staff Head Undersecretary Ferdinand B. Cui, Jr., DPWH Undersecretary Roberto R. Bernardo, Assistant Secretary Antonio V. Molano Jr. and other DPWH Officials.
