DPWH Breaks Ground for UPLB New School Facilities

The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) held simultaneous groundbreaking ceremonies across the University of the Philippines Los Baños (UPLB) campus in Laguna to officially commence the construction of four (4) school facilities.

In his report to Secretary Manuel M. Bonoan, DPWH Region 4A Director Jovel G. Mendoza said that projects launched in UPLB involves the construction of a 5-storey food processing research and development center, a 2-storey agricultural and economic development studies center, and a 2-storey microbial bank for the BIOTECH Philippine National Collection of Microorganisms.

The University Health Services Operating Room Complex’s rehabilitation plan, which promise to offer cutting-edge medical care comparable to that found in private hospitals, was also unveiled as part of the groundbreaking festivities.

Construction of the new university facilities in the total amount of P485 million are under the implementation of DPWH Regional Office 4A.
