The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) recently completed a new concrete road project benefitting residents of Baranggay Pantol in the Municipality of Bayambang, Pangasinan.
DPWH Region 1 Director Ronnel M. Tan reported to Secretary Manuel M. Bonoan and Undersecretary for Regional Operations Eugenio R. Pipo, Jr. that the project covers the construction of a 208.50-linear-meter long and five (5) meter concrete paved road.
“The road project costing ₱9.8 Million is expected to enhance economic activity and reduce travel time from Baranggay Pantol to the nearest business center in Alcala Market” said Director Tan.
“With the completion of the newly constructed road, travel time will be reduced by about 30 to 35 minutes and will benefit local farmers transporting agricultural products” added Director Tan.
The farm-to-market road project was implemented by DPWH Pangasinan Fourth District Engineering Office.
