As of 12:00 noon Tuesday, August 1, 2023, the combined effects of southwest monsoon and Typhoon Egay has caused P6.94-billion damage to roads, bridges and flood-control structures.
Citing a report from the Department of Public Works and Highways Bureau of Maintenance, DPWH Secretary Manuel M. Bonoan said that P1.17 Billion was the reported damage on roads, P162.6 Million on bridges, and P5.60 Billion on flood-control structures.
Secretary Bonoan added that the DPWH Quick Response Teams have cleared and reopened a total of 44 roads which is composed of 22 roads in Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR), 16 in Region 1, three (3) in Region 2, and one (1) each in Regions 3, 4B and 6.
Teams are still deployed to clear remaining 17 closed roads in CAR, Regions 1, 3, and 6, which include:

1) Abra-Ilocos Norte Road (intermittent sections) due to soil collapse and fallen trees;
2) Abra-Kalinga Road (intermittent sections) due to soil collapse and fallen trees;
APAYAO
1) Apayao-Ilocos Norte Road, intermittent sections in Dibagat, Kabugao due to soil collapse;
2) Claveria-Calanasan-Kabugao Road, intermittent sections in Naguilian, Ferdinand, and Namaltugan, and Ninoy, Calanasan due to soil collapse; including Sugoc Bridge in Ninoy due to washed out bridge approach;
3) Apayao - Ilocos Norte Road, intermittent sections in Namaltugan, Butao, and Tubungan, in Calanasan due to soil collapse;
KALINGA
1) Kalinga - Abra Road, intermittent sections in Balbalasang, Balbalan due to fallen trees, soil collapse, and road cut;
MT. PROVINCE
1) Baguio – Bontoc Road, Mt. Data section in Bauko to ensure safety of the public;
2) Dantay - Sagada Road, K0390+900 due to collapsed pavement;

ILOCOS SUR
1) Vigan-Sta. Catalina Road, Pantay-Daya Bridge due to scoured bridge abutment;
2) Quirino-Pandan Road, Quirino-Pandan Bridge due to scoured bridge abutment;

PAMPANGA
1) Apalit-Macabebe-Masantol Road, intermittent sections in Brgy San Gabriel, Macabebe, Pampanga due to flooding;

3) Baliwag - Candaba - Sta Ana Road in Brgy. San Agustin, Candaba due to flooding;
4) Bahay Pare - San Luis - Sto. Domingo Road, sections in Brgy. Sta. Monica, San Luis due to flooding;
ZAMBALES
1) Olangapo-Bugallon Road, Yamot Bridge, Detour, Yamot, Candelaria due to High water elevation; and

Motorists are also advised of the limited access on ten (10) road sections namely:
1) Mt. Province -Ilocos Sur via Tue Road in Poblacion, Bauko, Mt. Province, one lane passable to light vehicles only due to soil collapse;
2) Gov. Bado Dangwa National Road in Poblacion, Kibungan, Benguet, one lane passable to light vehicles only due to soil collapse;
3) Banaue - Hunduan - Benguet Boundary Road, sections in Abatan and Bokiawan, Hungduan, Ifugao one lane passable to light vehicles only due to soil collapse;
4) Pancian-Adams Road, sections in Brgy. Poblacion and Sitio Maligligay, Adams, Ilocos Norte and Sitio Banquero, Pancian, Ilocos Norte, one Lane passable to light vehicles only damaged road slope protection;
5) Cervantes - Aluling- Bontoc Road (S00105LZ) K0387+000, Ilocos Sur, one lane passable to light vehicles only due to rockslide;
6) Dagupan- Bonuan- San Fabian Road, Urdaneta Junction- Dagupan - Lingayen Road via Zambales, Perez, and Tarlac, as well as Judge Jose De Venecia Sr. Ave, passable to heavy vehicles only due to flooding;
