PHOTO: DPWH Volunteers Take Part in Coastal Cleanup

Volunteers from the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) Central Office and the National Capital Region on Friday, September 22, 2023, participated in the Department’s coastal cleanup event, along the stretch of Manila Baywalk Dolomite Beach in the City of Manila. DPWH Environmental and Social Safeguards Division Chief Rosemarie B. del Rosario, representing DPWH Secretary Manuel M. Bonoan, led the cleanup activity which supports this year’s International Coastal Cleanup Day. A total of 80 sacks of garbage were collected in the clean-up drive, ranging from single-use wrappers, bottles, sachets, washed-out water hyacinth, and tree branches.
