DPWH Secretary Manuel M. Bonoan, citing a report from DPWH National Capital Region Director Loreta M. Malaluan, said that a formal groundbreaking ceremony for the new four-storey building project of PUP-Sta. Mesa Campus was recently conducted, marking the start of construction activities.
Director Malauan said that the modern building with a floor area of 477 square meters, will provide the much-needed additional space and facilities for the PUP-CEA students and faculty members.
“When completed, the extension campus will provide additional classrooms, a laboratory, a library, an audio-visual room, a faculty office, and bigger function rooms, complete with air-conditioning system for a more conducive learning environment for engineering and architecture students and faculty members,” said Director Malaluan.
The new PUP-CEA building project costing P94.35 million will be constructed by the DPWH NCR within a period of 360 calendar days, or roughly a year.
