Road Project Boosts Trade, Tourism in Far Flung Barangay of Nueva Vizcaya

The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) has completed a local road project that now serves as a gateway to a tourist spots and speeds up the transportation of goods in the town of Quezon, Nueva Vizcaya.

In a report to DPWH Secretary Manuel M. Bonoan, DPWH Nueva Vizcaya First District Engineer Marifel T. Andes said that the completed P19.3-million Jacinto-Esquivel Road Project funded under the 2023 General Appropriations Act (GAA) is an 860-meter concrete paved road in Barangay Baresbes.

“With the road spanning from Baresbes, Quezon to market centers, the improve access will benefit local businesses,” said District Engineer Andes.

Moreover, local and international tourists can now seamlessly access tourists spots in the area, particularly the Plaza Patring Falls, enhancing the overall tourism experience.

“The concreting of Jacinto-Esquivel Road is not merely a construction project; it’s a key to unlocking the full potential of Nueva Vizcaya’s natural wonders and economic vitality,” added DE Andes.
