Agricultural communities now benefit from the concreting of two (2) farm-to-market roads (FMRs) that the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) recently constructed in the municipality of Bambang in Nueva Vizcaya.

Citing reports from DPWH Regional Office 2 Director Reynaldo C. Alconcel, Secretary Manuel M. Bonoan identified the newly-paved FMRs as the Barangay Salinas Road and Barangay San Antonio South to Barangay Dullao Road in Bambang.

The 486-meter Purok Nangkalapan FMR in Barangay Salinas and the 665-meter Barangay San Antonio South to Barangay Dullao FMR involve the installation of portland cement concrete pavement and reinforced concrete pipe culvert with headwalls made of rubble concrete extending a double barrel reinforced concrete box culvert as drainage facilities.

Both road projects were provided with road safety markers/signages for a smoother and safer travel experience for all road users.

With combined allocation of P22 million, the road concreting projects in Bambang were implemented by the Nueva Vizcaya 1st District Engineering Office headed by District Engineer Marifel T. Andes.
