The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) is currently constructing a building that will serve as the new district office of the Land Transportation Office (LTO) in Malita, Davao Occidental.
In a progress report to DPWH Secretary Manuel M. Bonoan and Undersecretary for Mindanao Operations Eugenio R. Pipo Jr., DPWH Regional Office 11 Director Juby B. Cordon said that the construction of new LTO Malita District Office Building is already 85 percent completed.
DPWH Davao Occidental District Engineering Office (DEO) is implementing the P19.79-million building construction with completion targeted within this second quarter of 2024.
Located along Barangay Felis Road in Malita town, the two (2)-storey building has a total area of 970 square meters for both of its ground and second floors to provide ample space for LTO personnel to better perform their duties with the transacting public.
When completed, the building will include rooms, offices, and other common amenities that will benefit not only LTO staff but also the district office’s clientele availing land transportation services such as application and renewal of driver’s license and motor vehicle registration.
