A 3-storey multipurpose building was completed by the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) which now serves as the office building of the Manila Police District (MPD) Police Station 8, Police Community Precinct 3, also known as the V. Mapa Police Community Precinct.

In a report to DPWH Secretary Manuel M. Bonoan, DPWH National Capital Region Director Loreta M. Malaluan reported the recent inauguration of the new police building, located along Peralta Street cor. V. Mapa, in Barangay 599, Sta Mesa, Manila.

With an allocation of P12 million from the 2023 General Appropriations Act, the project involves the construction of a 3-storey building, complete with essential amenities, including power and water supply, air conditioning system, and comfort rooms.

The new building has accessible ramp with handrails in compliance to Batas Pambansa 344 or Accessibility Law, to ensure safety of persons with disabilities (PWDs).

“We hope that with this new facility, our police forces will be able to efficiently carry out their duties in maintaining public order and security,” said Director Malaluan.
