
The Philippine Institute of Civil Engineers, Inc. (PICE) is pleased to announce its upcoming Midyear National Convention, set to take place from June 13 to 15, 2024 at the SMX Convention Center, Mall of Asia Complex, Pasay City.
According to Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) Senior Undersecretary and PICE National President Emil K. Sadain, this Midyear National Convention is a pivotal event for the civil engineering (CE) professionals from the Philippines and international CE organizations around the globe as this will offer an unparalleled opportunity to network, explore new technologies, and engage with industry leaders.
The convention with the theme “Building Global Partnerships, Bridging Boundaries, and Fostering New Technologies Towards a More Resilient and Sustainable Development” will include a variety of activities designed to inspire and inform participants.
“One of the main attractions which will be the very first for PICE National Convention is the International Engineering Expo to foster global collaboration, showcase the latest products and services, and technological advancements from leading companies in the engineering sector,” said Senior Undersecretary Sadain.
Attendees can also look forward to infrastructure forum sessions with panel discussions from recognized industry leaders and academe, inspirational messages and speeches, in-depth technical sessions/lectures, and the mid-year report of the PICE National President.
Key topics to be explored include accelerating resilient and sustainable infrastructure development, advancements in construction technology, and innovative urban planning solutions.
Meanwhile, Senior Undersecretary Sadain recently officiated the induction of membership to PICE of new Civil Engineers during the three (3) batches of oath-taking ceremony last June 1, 2024 at the Philippine International Convention Center spearheaded by the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) for some 6,680 individuals who passed the April 2024 Civil Engineers Licensure Examination.
The PICE National President congratulated all the board passers on achieving a remarkable milestone in their life chapter – a chapter filled with promise, potential, and an opportunity to make a significant impact on our beloved Philippines.
