The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) has completed the rehabilitation and strengthening of the Lullutan Bridge along Ilagan-Delfin Albano-Mallig Road in Barangay Lullutan, Ilagan City, Isabela.

DPWH Regional Office 2 Director Reynaldo C. Alconcel, in his report to DPWH Secretary Manuel M. Bonoan and Undersecretary Eugenio R. Pipo Jr., said that the completed rehabilitation work on the 500-meter Lullutan Bridge involved replacing the expansion joint, installing missing high-tension bolts, and reconstructing the deck slab.

“The rehabilitation of Lullutan Bridge, a key infrastructure aimed at enhancing transportation and connectivity in the Cagayan Valley Region, reduces the risk of bridge failures or disruptions, ensuring a safer and more reliable route for commuters and transport services,” said Director Alconcel.

The repair of the Lullutan Bridge is part of a broader initiative to enhance the safety, resilience, and prolonged the service life of the national road system through comprehensive bridge rehabilitation programs.

The DPWH Isabela 1st District Engineering Office implemented the repair/rehabilitation of the Lullutan Bridge in the amount of P13.3 million, funded through the 2024 General Appropriations Act (GAA).
