Bridge Closure, Slope Collapse Reported in Northern Luzon

Motorists are advised that one (1) road section in Isabela Province is currently closed to all types of vehicles while another road in Mountain Province is only passable to light vehicles due to Tropical Cyclone 'Enteng' and Southwest Monsoon.

Based on the 6:00 am, September 4, 2024 report of the Department of Public Works and Highways Bureau of Maintenance (DPWH-BOM), the affected road section in Isabela Province is the Cabagan-Sta. Maria Bridge, along Cabagan-Sta. Maria Road, connecting Barangay Casibarag Norte, Cabagan and Barangay Mozzozzin, Sta. Maria. The bridge is impassable due to high water elevation of 1.2 meter.

Meanwhile, the Mountain Province Cagayan via Tabuk-Enrile Road in Tabrak, Anabel, Sadanga, Mt. Province has limited access and is only passable to light vehicles due to rock/slope collapse.

The DPWH-BOM also reported the partial cost of damage of P54.26 million on public infrastructure, from P35.58 million damage on roads, P11.63 million on bridges, and flood control at P7.02 million.
